Lani Daniels is an acoustic guitarist with a gentle yet unforgettable voice. Lani has been playing music since 1996. Originally, he got his musical fix as a lead guitarist, for a number of bands, but decided to break off on his own six months ago to see how far a solo career could take him. He is finally coming out of his shell and recently finished his first EP.

I discovered Lani in a restaurant in downtown St. Pete, coyly strumming his guitar for some locals. I must say that his presence caught me off guard. And not just because he is easy on the eyes, however he is camera shy ladies, so go easy on the guy. His personality is not like that of a typical performer, in my opinion. I loved his whole demeanor, the way he felt completely comfortable going unnoticed, but then he opens his mouth and you realize there is something special behind this modest man.

When I sat down with Lani to get the scoop, I found much more to him than a golden voice and a guitar. He has a passion for music and an understanding of the importance to share this passion, this gift. He routinely volunteers to perform for patients at a Cancer Center in Tampa, which speaks volumes about his character and dedication, considering this was a role he had to audition for. He feels that as long as he has something to give, he might as well give back. His music has a classic rock feel, with a slight alternative edge, that promises to be timeless.
